Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum viable personal data required to deliver YouTube Transcriber. This page explains what we store, how we secure it, and how you can exercise control.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how YouTube Transcriber ("we", "our", "us") processes personal data when you create an account, use transcript tooling, or contact support. We operate as a processor of your data and only retain information required to provide the service. If you have questions, email support@transcriberbulk.online.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Email address, hashed password, and optional display name stored in Supabase Auth.
  • Usage data: Daily counters of transcript requests (single or batch) so quotas can be enforced. We never store the YouTube captions themselves.
  • Billing data: Subscription status and Stripe price identifiers if you upgrade to a paid plan. We do not store full payment instrument details.
  • Diagnostic events: Error metadata (timestamp, request id, video id) for observability. Captions and other YouTube content are not logged.

3. How We Use Data

  • Authenticate you and keep your session active.
  • Enforce usage quotas and subscription entitlements.
  • Send account lifecycle emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts).
  • Investigate abuse and maintain platform security.

4. Retention

We keep account metadata for as long as you maintain a profile. Transcript requests are not persisted; they are streamed directly from YouTube and discarded after the response is sent. You can invoke the Delete my data control in your dashboard at any time to purge your profile, subscription records, and usage counters from our databases. Supabase Auth and Stripe will also be instructed to remove the related account identifiers.

5. Sharing

We share data only with sub-processors required to deliver the product:
Supabase (authentication, database), Stripe (billing), Sentry (error monitoring), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider maintains industry-standard security certifications.

6. International Transfers

Services may operate in the United States, European Union, or other regions. By using the product you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by our vendors when required.

7. Security

We implement TLS in transit, role-based access controls, and least-privilege credentials for infrastructure. Secrets such as the Supabase service role and Stripe keys are stored in managed secret stores. Production logging intentionally excludes personal data or transcript content.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We rely on Supabase Auth session cookies to keep you signed in. These cookies are essential for security and cannot be disabled without losing functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we avoid writing transcript content to LocalStorage or other persistent caches.

9. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or export your information via the dashboard.
  • Delete your data via the in-product control or by contacting support.
  • Opt out of marketing emails (we currently send only transactional emails).

10. Updates

We may revise this policy as we ship new features or change subprocessors. The latest version will always be available at this URL with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect implies acceptance.

11. Contact
